How do I get data NAV exports to Excel to be formated with parenthesisin place of a negative sign?
All of my NAV created worksheets knock the default comma style out.
Did you try Control Panel->Regional & Language Options->Regional Options->Customize->Edit the Negative Sign Symbol?
You are talking about at the Window level not NAV, am I a correct?
Correct! - Click the arrow on Negative Number Format & one of the choices is the ( ).
Can anyone confirm if this works ? I have set it to (1.1) but still Nav displays negative values in -1.1 format. If I change the Negative sign symbol though it is reflected. Cannot understand why the Negative Number format is not taken into consideration.
1. Can we assume you restarted your pc after you made the change.
2. If you're exporting from Nav are you exporting that field as a TEXT field?
if so that might be the reason it's keeping it's format.
