I have found some inventory items that are showing qty's with decimal points (i.e qty of 0.99952). On investigation, i have found these decimals were made by item Journals. when I try to do an inventory Journal to take out the decimals, it asks for a bin number. However, these qty's don't seem to be in a bin. How do I take these decimals out.
The reason why you would be seeing the bin required message is that bin mandatory has been switched on for the location that you are trying to adjust the stock in, (Ticked on the location card)
Open the item card, and from there go to Related, Bin content, this will show you the quantity of the item in the various bins in the locations, set a filter on the location that has the decimal qty stock then find the bin that contains the decimals
I assume that you are not using full warehousing and just bins on a location,
When you do your negative adjustment add the bin code column onto the item journal and specify this bin code.
Hope this helps
