NAV DB Backup?

I want to know that whether we can use a Backup Client capable of making backup of SQL Data to make backup of NAV DB? I have a backup client that can make SQL Data's Backup in Amazon S3 Cloud. Can I use that for NAV DB too?

    Hi Muhammad

    The NAV SQL database behaves just like any other Microsoft SQL database so if you have a solution that backs up SQL databases i don't see any reason for it not to work

    Just ensure you do a normal SQL backup before trying it for the first time and regularly test restore your SQL Backups going forwards as you would with any other backup solution

    I wouldn't know why not .. although, I find it always best practice to still include a backup step in your database maintenance plan.  You could Always back that file up in Amazon S3.. .
