In a test envoirnment, I have upgraded a copy of our database to Navision 2009 (running on SQL 2008). I have also installed the Windows 2009 classic client on a Windows 7 PC. when I connect to the database on the Windows 7 machine all seems to run fine - until I try to run the debugger. Then, all that happens is that Navision seems to slow down - however, no debugger appears.
Any ideas? Is the NAV2009 classic client debugger compatible with Windows 7?
When I installed this same version (Navision 2009) on my Windows XP pc and run the Classic Client, the debugger runs fine.
Hi Jeff,
We have had no reports of issues with the Debugger and Windows 7 directly. If you active debugger and ‘Breakpoints on Triggers’ does Debugger open up after running an object? If not, you may want to make sure when launching NAV that you right click the shortcut and click “Run as Administrator”. Also ensure that a developer’s license was imported into the test environment as that is needed to run the Debugger.
I hope this helps and please let me know if there is anything further I can assist with.

Thanks for your response Tom. Upon further testing, I have detirmined that the problem exists on one specific Wondows 7 PC but not others. I have not yet isolated what the problem is on that PC but I am not as concerned since it is isoltaed to one PC. The other Windows 7 works fine in the debugger - same server and database.
