The company I work for has MS Dynamics NAV 5.0 on SQL Server 2005.Is it posible to create an inventory item with several presentations or packaging formats?
As an example:I have a product with a linear inventory of 50,000 units.But I want to sell it in packages of 2,000 units each.Or 1,000 units or 500 units per case (container).Would it be possible to define these items in a way that they are indexed / associated with the primary identity?

I dont think I understand the question, however you can use the Sales Unit of Measures to sell the product in different packages.
Please explore the Variant feature in NAV as well.
