Hi we are a uniform company that carry over a style number (item) for many years the only changes for these items is new colors and sometimes a size is added what I am trying to do is adding new colors to the items and sometimes a new size. I try to do this but rms wants me to create a new item we don't want to do this because it is an already existing item. Is there a way in RMS that we can do this ? Am I missing something?

Thank you for your question. Each sub item in a matrix is created as a standard item in Store Operations. Thismeans any additional colors or sizes, requires new items to be created. If you wish to modify existing ones, you will need to change the component, then go into each item that was the old color and change it manually.
The other option is to create the components again, and then inactivate the old component items by going into the item properties and inactivating. This may work best to not change the old purchases for the old colors/sizes.
