Does anyone know if the HQ ItemDynamic table is updated with every transaction, as an HQ client connects, or only when a 501 worksheet is requested?
I want an up-to-date item quantity for store-inventory report without having to run a 501 every time. It does look like it's kept in sync with the store data, but I'm not 100% sure.
My, take, for what it's worth, is the itemdynamic entries are created when you roll out a 250, and update via 401's. I'm not so sure about the 501, but you can run a test and find out.

Whenever the item qty is changed at the store level due to sales, purchase, or any type of movement, the corresponding record is updated at the HQ

It appears the SnapShotQuantity column gets updated. There's a separate Quantity column, but I'm not sure of it's purpose.
Forget about the quantity field, it's the SnapShotQuantity that u should be looking at
