many of our products have 2 barcodes upc and ean.
it is possible to accidently scan both selling the product twice
i would like to prevent this by either blocking selected upc codes or only being able to scan one format, i don't know if this could be done by the scanner or rms
the other solution is to cover or deface the second barcode or use our own barcode stickers but this defeats the object of items being pre-barcoded and is time consuming.
Hi Grommet,
It has to be done on the scanner, RMS does not reconize barcode format, its virtually "typed in" by the scanner.
Scanner should have option to disable certain barcode types.

Is there a reason you must have both barcodes assigned in RMS to the items?
no i would rather only assign one barcode but if you have a none assigned barcode the scanner will still read it and hang on it as if it was a misread item
