Does anyone have encountered a slow performance of Solomon 7 on Windows 2008 R2 standard SP1? Any Solutions? I takes almost 10 seconds for a screen to open when the user click on it.

If the screens are customized, check to see how quickly they open in Standard mode.

We upgraded from SL 6.5 to 2011 and all client communications were dead slow (15-20 sec) for each screen. The issue was that the connection method to SQL Server was NP (from old installation) instead of TCP. Once the protocol order is changed on the client machine, performance is very good.

Protocol order can be found in the registry at

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSSQLServer\Client\SNI10.0

Hope this helps. Do not forget to back up the registry first.
