Our vision for Dynamics 365 Customer Insights is to enable every organization to unify and understand its customer data to derive insights that power personalized experiences and processes. As a finished SaaS solution Customer Insights allows customers to take a radically different approach compared to the traditional custom-build solutions. As everything is meta-data driven and done through configurations instead of coding it allows rapid-prototyping and the application of agile project management methodologies.

I'm very excited to announce that we are now starting a series of onsite Customer Insights in a day workshops (CIAD), beginning with two events on March 26th in Reading, UK and March 27th in London. Registrations can be done here. Customers and Microsoft partners attending these workshops will have the opportunity to work hands-on with Customer Insights and go through a typical implementation lifecycle, from use case analysis through configuration to testing and validation, all in one day. This includes

  • Onboarding and setup
  • Data ingestion
  • Data unification
  • Calculating customer measures and KPIs
  • Segmentation
  • Power your business process with insights from CI using Dynamics 365, Power BI, Power Apps and Flow
  • Extensibility using Odata API's

Going through hands-on labs for each section attendees will work on assignments and experience how easy it is to realize a 360° view of customers and gain insights from it.

The workshops are organized jointly by regional Microsoft teams and the Customer Insights product team. Thus there will be plenty of time to talk to product experts.

We are planning to bring Customer Insights in a day workshops to almost every region.
