Now in Private Preview, the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Banking Accelerator provides a new Banking data model and samples allowing you to easily build apps, processes, analytics, and gain new insights. The Banking data model extends the Microsoft Common Data Model for loan, mortgage, referrals, branch, collateral, deal, limit, facilities, and more. The model provides a shared and consistent metadata definition for common banking entities allowing customers and ISVs to build on the same data model, this common schema allows for new interoperability and improved processes and insights.

If you are interested in participating in the private preview of the Banking Accelerator, a sign up is available at https://aka.ms/CDMEngage. We’re looking for both feedback and active collaboration as we evolve the current version of the banking model.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Banking Accelerator

The Banking Accelerator includes solutions and samples to allow you to implement the banking data model in Dynamics 365, our Power platform, and in Azure Data Lake Storage. Apps, workflows, dashboards, and insights are available for both Retail and Commercial Banking. A unified banking data model spans both Retail and Commercial Banking allowing customer 360 views, new insights, and referral sharing between the lines of business at the bank. The Banking data model and the Banking Accelerators are free to use and will be open sourced on GitHub when generally available.

This Private Preview includes solutions to implement the data model and some sample apps, processes, dashboards, and insights using the new banking data model. Some of the processes and insights in the samples include person/company/account onboarding, relationship manager insights, commercial deal dashboards, customer 360 views, and more.

 The community and ISV ecosystem

We’re been working across the Financial Services community, Open Banking initiative, and directly with customers and ISVs in Financial Services to develop the model. ISVs in particular benefit from an open and common data model as they can now build Financial Services solutions on top of a unified data layer instead of creating their own proprietary data layer, this reduces friction and costs for both the ISV and the customer. We’ve been fortunate to be able to work with some of our best partners including VeriPark, Fiserv, Wealth Dynamix on this effort. Here’s what they had to say.

VeriPark

“We are excited to partner with Microsoft on the development of a data model designed for the needs and business processes of banks and financial institutions. VeriPark is committed to helping define the model and deliver our solutions atop the new Banking Accelerators. The new Banking data model allows VeriPark to have a consistent and defined data structure to generate insights and actions to help our joint customers become digital leaders by improving their customer experience and retention.”

- Özkan Erener, CEO VeriPark

Fiserv

"Fiserv is pleased to be collaborating with Microsoft to extend the Microsoft Common Data Model for Banking. We were able to contribute a few of the insights we've gained over 10 years of developing and implementing Fiserv's Dynamics 365 banking solution. This new, consistent data definition covering basic banking constructs such as financial products, referrals, branches, bankers and clients will allow us to focus our product innovation on further extending the platform to offer our clients even more sales and service functionality for commercial and retail banking."

- David Dervish, Managing Director, EnAct CRM Solutions, Fiserv

Wealth Dynamix

“We are thrilled to be involved in the accelerator program and it’s been great to collaborate with the Microsoft team on a common, open-sourced, model for banking. This alignment with Microsoft helps to build on our partnership and the output will be valuable for our joint clients, particularly as the unified data model includes AI and insights.”

– Matthew Yates, SVP, Wealth Dynamix
