We have followed "create an end to end payment integration" provided on retail docs, to create a payment connector for a payment terminal.
By implementing INamedRequestHandler, we are able to simulate behavior of payment terminal with M/CPOS on the peripheral simulator.
However, the white paper "implementing a payment connector and a payment device" explains developing a payment connector using IPaymentProcessor with IPaymentDevice, instead of INamedRequestHandler.
Confused now whether to use INamedRequestHandler or IPaymentDevice with IPaymentProcessor.
Any suggestions are welcome.
Can you please show the hardware profile for this? It is better you can show more picture for it.
This depends on which payment adaptor you have enabled in Hardware station configuration file:
1) For legacy adaptor use IPaymentDevice
2) For new adaptor use INamedRequestHandler
IPaymentProcessor is usually needed in both cases. IPaymentProcessor is connector itself, that contains payment logic and also to be able to select your connector in F&O in EFT profile, class should implement IPaymentProcessor interface.
So the flow is (with POS paired to hardware station): POS > HW station > IPaymentDevice/INamedRequestHandler > IPaymentProcessor
Thank you Oksana, this adequately answers my query.
My pleasure :)
