I have created a model driven app with some entities and views and an offline profile. All of these are included in the model driven app but when I go off line, one of the views disappears. If I go back on line the view comes back.
You need to ensure that any view that you want to work in offline doesn’t reference the entities that are not offline-enabled. For example, assuming Account is in the offline profile, then an Account view that references the primary contact when Contact is not in the profile will not be available.
You could refer to the Tips when configure D365 Mobile Offline:
In addition , there's also one known issue that Views are not supported for the following entities in offline mode:
Hope the above helps.
thanks Johnny. its a bespoke entity that has the view that disappears. Strangely, I have also updated a view on one bespoke entity to only show flat information (SLOT, date fields etc) and even then when I go off line it says "This view has related entities that are not available offline"
The view in question has 3 columns: the record name, a date and time field and an address field (SLOT) so cant see any reason this is
I have tracked it down to the fact that a view has a "related" column. I have inspections booked against rooms and the room location field (SLOT) is displayed on the Inspections view. If I go offline the view says that "the view has related entities that are not available offline" despite the fact that I have both inspections and rooms configured to work offline.
If I remove the column "room location" from the view it works fine.
does offline not work if related data is included in a view, do you know?
Hi hostis 72,
I just know 'Any views that have linked entities (related entity) that are not available offline are also not supported.'.
You need to confirm this 'related data' should must also be set offline available.
If you have set offline while there's still occuring 'the view has related entities that are not available offline'. It would be like bug issues.
You could rasie one ticket for following up. Thanks.
