If the record you imported does not match the rule, then this will not be successfully imported.
1) Go to Settings > Data Management > Imports, find the imported Excel online file. Its Partial Failures is greater than zero. Open it.
2) Click the Failures on the left, you can see the records of the import failure.
Please provide information and screenshots of this interface. This includes the reason why the import failed.
Saving via excel online is not immediate coz there's an import happening. Please check again and if you still don't see the changes made then look at @Lu Hao's response and follow the steps.
