I'm integrating Dynamics 365 into our product.
I've followed the steps given in the developers docs for server to server integration for dynamics crm. I've created an application user, associated the user with a custom security role, but I'm still getting the 401 unauthorized error when accessing any endpoint. It seems to be working fine when I access those endpoints in chrome, but not in Postman or from my product (Java-based).
I've checked all the other questions posted here related to that, but the solutions don't seem to work.
I didn't have this problem when I tried accessing using a trials account a few months ago when checking the APIs.
Any help would be really appreciated.
If you want to use postman to test Dynamics 365 webApi, you should create a new environment with login information in postman first.
Please refer to this article and follow the steps.
About authentication of Dynamics 365 in JAVA, you could refer to this blog.
Hope it helps.
Thanks for replying. I already referred the Postman link you've sent, and I am able to generate the access token successfully in both Postman and my Java application. It's just that the access token generated is giving me a 401 Unauthorized error in both Postman and in my application. I looked up some existing articles and questions with similar issue, but their solutions (create an Application user mostly) are not helping me.
I am also having this same issue. Were you able to find a resolution?
The problem in my case was solved when I added the 'resource' parameter when generating the token. The value of resource is the dynamics instance url you want to access with the token.
