Hey all, I've created an entity and relatevly worked on it a lot. As I created the Entity I made a checkmark beside Notes (includes attachments) +
I want to remove this option now after I worked a lot on this Entity. But somehow I am not able to remove the checkmark anymore. (See Screenshot)
Do you guys have any ideas, how I can achive this.
Thanks a lot in advance
There is no supported way to do this. Once this option is set, you are not allowed to remove it.
The only way to remove it is to create a solution that contains this entity and all its subcomponents, export the solution, edit the customizations.xml file to remove the option and relationships with the notes entity, delete the entity from CRM, then import the solution. However, this is unsupported (editing the customizations.xml file) and you'd lose all your data.
Overall, I'd just leave the option enabled
There is no official way to disable it. That is the reason you see that little sign next to it, the explanation of that sign is "After you enable this option it cannot be disabled".
I would suggest you leave it as it is and just remove notes/activities section from the form.
That's impossible to uncheck it. You should be able to hide it on form or make it read-only.
Out of curosity, why do you now want to remove it & not use it anymore?
Thanks! What you mean by hide it in form? How to achieve this ?
Thank you for your answer. What you mean by hide it in form? How to achieve this ?
You can select the section and remove it.
Or eventually double click & uncheck the visibility by default
Thank you, I actually wanted to only remove notes tab. But in this way it will hide the complete field also with the activity. But its just find, I will leave it like this.
You can select which modules to show if you don't want to hide the entire section. Refer below screenshot. In my case, everything is visible by default.
Hope this helps!
I don't have the option "FIlter by", Do you know why ?
It came with V9.0, if your Dynamics version is earlier version, that might be the reason.
True, I have V8. Ups :/
Ill leave it like this.
You are on lower version.
Please plan for upgrade before MS does a force upgrade.
