We are trying to decide between Field Service on Premise (CRM 9). Vs Fieldservice online.
Is anybody running Fieldservice on premise or is everyone using the online version? I have learned that apparently field service for on premise is not planned to be updated from v. 7.x to v. 8.x...
I recommend going with Dynamics 365 for Field Service (Online) unless your business is bound by regulations that make Dynamics 365 for Field Service (On-Premises) a better option. Dynamics 365 for Field Service (Online) has more features than Dynamics 365 for Field Service (On-Premises) and receives more frequent updates.
This article mentions some of the features that are unavailable for Dynamics 365 for Field Service (On-Premises).

Not only new features but also bug fixes will be delivered quicker and more often, and even from a TCO perspective I doubt you can run OnPrem cheapter than Online.
