Does anyone know if it is possible to export Management Reporter building blocks from GP and importing them into D365 Operations?
Granted it might need to be modified if there are differences in the setup but is it possible to do the import/export?
Microsoft did not include functionaty for GP when Management reporter where upgraded to Financial reports.
Since the data structure are not the same i guess that building blocks created for GP does not fit data created in D365.
Have you tried to import the building blocks? I asume that you can do that or you get an error if it is not possible. If the import destroy the data mart it can be rebuild again.
As Sten Baumgarten said "the data structure are not the same"
so you need to redesign this reports again
Here's the reply from Microsoft GP support:
Your client should be able to export the Building Blocks from MR/GP into D365/FR. The only thing is, is that the accounts will probably not display as more than likely the account names (i.e. Segment Names in GP) will be different. This means that they would need to re-enter their account numbers, but at least the formatting could stay the same.
