Is there any real difference in the go-live assessment for a customer that has already adopted a previous version or is the entire process the same?
The go-live assessment process for AX2012 upgrade projects is the same. If required, we will pull in an upgrade expert. One of the things we look for in the case of AX 2012 Upgrade is that the project has correctly followed the instructions in docs (docs.microsoft.com/.../upgrade-overview-2012) and specifically that it has performed the data upgrade on a sandbox (Tier-2 or higher) environment. We also really like to see projects planning a real mock cutover for AX 2012 upgrade projects.
