I am trying to explore ImportFromPackage API for file based integration. ImportFromPackage completes successfully and returns execution Id. But when I call API DataManagementDefinitionGroups-GetExecutionSummaryStatus for output execution id from Import package, I am getting below error:
"Exception occurred while executing action GetExecutionSummaryStatus on Entity DataManagementDefinitionGroup: Execution details were not found for execution id:"
Also I am not seeing any log in event viewer, No execution Id in Execution history and no records created.
I am facing the same issue. Did you find the root cause for that?
Hello, I am also facing the same error while integration package from SFTP to D365 using LogicApps. If your issue is resolved, please share solution. Thanks!
We are also facing the same issue on our side, but with an export scenario (on PU23).
We calling in sequence:
GetExecutionSummaryStatus looks for the executionId in the DMFExecution table to checks if that executionId exists.
The ExportToPackage and ImportFromPackage methods actually both generate an executionId, and then call an asynchronous method to continue the process, and in the meantime, the executionId is returned to the caller.
But at that moment, the executionId is not inserted in database yet, it will be during the execution of that async method.
That means that, if for whatever reason, the async method fails to start or takes time to run, you get an executionId that is not yet inserted in database.
If you call the GetExecutionSummaryStatus too rapidly, you can get that error message. Sometimes it is the cause.
In our case, it's not however...seems like something happens when triggering the export that prevents the insertion of the executionId into the DMFExecution table...
Have found the solution?
As Nicolas GRANJON suggested,
- During import and export call it only generates execution id but does not insert into database.
- insert of execution Id takes place when asynchronous process to perform actual import or export takes place.
So sometimes when we call getSummary , execution Id is not inserted in database and hence we get error.
Try adding some delay between both API calls, this resolved error in my case.
