Global number sequences for customers and vendors and customer groups and vendor groups allow business users to use a single number sequence across many legal entities.
The global number sequence also enables you to copy a customer or vendor from one legal entity to another where the same global number sequence is used. When you create a new customer or vendor, you can search for a customer or vendor in the address book and copy the customer or vendor information into the new customer, creating a copy of it. This improves usability for inter-company scenarios.
You can use Data sharing feature to share customer information across companies, please refer documentation for details https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/business-applications-release-notes/april18/dynamics365-finance-operations/data-sharing-customer-vendor-tables
