My current setting is 0, -1 and +1 month. How to modify if to reflect the true overdue as of the 20th of the month?
Please try to set five periods (-1,-1,0,+1,+1) and select specific date when you create the age balance.
Can't you simply achieve this by running the aged balances report as of the 20th day of the month? E.g. 20 Jan, 20 Feb, etc. ?
Is this what you are looking for?
For example as below
this one is correct (same as customer aging period report's & actual outstanding amount)
but with the same aging period definition the aged balances shows something completely irrational:
I really want to know what setup causes the difference or is there any fundamental concept distinguishing the aged balances from customer aging report?
I am really just presuming they will return the same result.
Have the aged balances been refreshed?
There is a periodic job that must be run before the data in the aged balances list page are correct.
If you do not run this job, you will see old data.
For individual customers, you can manually refresh the aged balance by hitting the refresh button from the action pane.
This would provide you a simple and fast way to test the accuracy.
