i got error when i try to update from version 8.0 to 8.1 in test cloud environment
after i check the log file i found this error :
I had the same problem upgrading a sandbox environment.
I logged a call with MS, it's a known bug.
This was Microsoft's recommendation to me (i'm not sure it'll work for you or that this is the right solution for you, but just putting it here so you're aware of it)
It seems that this is a known issue which described in the bug below:
Kindly refer to the workaround:
• 1.While the package deployment is still in a failed state
2.Go to the primary AOS machine (in this case it is AOS1)
3.Run the MSI repair action for the Program "Microsoft Dynamics ERP Management Reporter 2012 Server"
a.Control Panel | Programs | Uninstall a program
b.Locate "Microsoft Dynamics ERP Management Reporter 2012 Server"
c.Select the program and choose the Repair option
4.Validate the repair by locating the missing file.
