I am trying to generate financial statements in demo environment and for the year 2018 there are no issues as the reports are generated correctly.
However, when I choose any date from 2019 the following error is displayed:
"The base period and year for the fiscal period date cannot be determined."
-> the report is not generated.
The issue persists in all kinds of financial reports
I have checked the fiscal periods in GL > Calendars > Fiscal calendars, and there appears to be nothing wrong.
The fiscal year is determined to always be 4/1/-3/31 (4/1/2018-3/31/2019 in this case for the current fiscal year).
The fiscal years are determined until the end of 2020 fiscal year (3/31/2021).
Anyone familiar with this issue? Thank you in advance.
any integration errors in Financial reports?
is his PROD? may need to reset as one the last option
try to also refresh cached financial data in Financial reports
I have an update regarding the status.
The problem still persists. However, I noticed that when looking at the Base year for the report definitions in report designer, the years only show up until 2018, even though the calendar years in D365 are set up until 2019. All the other defined fiscal years are listed in the Base year field. I figured that the problem must be related to this. Any ideas why the report designer is not picking up the latest year?
Sadly, refreshing cached data did not help.
Have you / a collegue from developement already tried restarting your machine and/or the services that are used for generating the financial reports?
If you create a new year. How long does it take until you see it in the financial report designer?
Restarting the machine/services had no effect on the issue.
I created a new year in D365, but it does not appear in the report designer even after multiple hours (the options in the Base year field are displayed as if a new year was never created).
Furthermore, I noticed that if I create a completely new report, the new report definition that is saved in the report designer is not updated to the report definitions in D365 (GL > inquiries and reports > financial reports). If I generate the new report through report designer, the generated report will still be displayed in the browser/D365 as usual.
I figured that this might be related to the same issue.
Thank you for your time,
Have you already tried resetting the data mart of the financial reporter?
It appears that the version of report manager that is run on our D365FO does not have a 'reset data mart' option available.
Any idea how to work around this?
Thank you greatly for your time.
You will find the procedure for the reset here: docs.microsoft.com/.../reset-financial-reporting-datamart-after-restore
