I have a working report that is displaying correct amounts
when I add a reporting tree (Department), all the amounts get multiplied by the number of lines in the reporting tree.
my goal is to filter through dimensions using the reporting tree. The row used in the report are also defined with links to the dimensions (Main account+Department+ Item group)
any Idea as to why the amounts are being multiplied?
You should be able to design the report with a simple row and column structure.
In the row definition you do not have to establish a filter for any reporting tree elements.
Can you test whether removing those linkages resolves the problem?
If it does not then please share some screenshots of your row, column and tree configuration.
Thank you for the quick reply,
I cleared the department dimension from the row, and the rows are no longer being multiplied.
just to be clear if someone wants the rows to be already specific to departments he can't add a reporting tree that filters by department?
Yes you have to mention main accounts only in link to financial dimension column in row definition. Then select reporting tree definition and filter with specific department dimensions to generate the report.
Otherwise set main accounts with dimension combinations in row definition and do not select reporting tree definition.
Also, you have to check the detail level before generating the report.
