while looking on the reporting tree function called insert reporting units from dimension, let's say I have 2 fin dimensions location and department , basically MR pulls the combination of the 2 fin dim wherever there are transactions for the combination of the 2 fin dimension
Let's say I have 10 locations and 20 department, so for every possible combination I should have 200 reporting units
Can we make the function to generate the reporting units independently if there are any transactions?
By looking at he post https://community.dynamics.com/ax/f/microsoft-dynamics-ax-forum/199712/management-reporter---dynamic-reporting-trees, it is very similar to the requirement here, however in the post it is more dynamic.
My request is to take a snapshot of the 2 fin dim and build up any possible combination as of that moment.
The reporting units available for selection are only those that are included in the MR data mart.
To be included you need a transaction posted for those units.
If there is no posting generated then you won't have the units not available in the MR.
Does that answer your question?
