My company plans to upgrade NAV 2015 to D365FO.
In NAV 2015, the data will display by users with the department.
Users should only view his division records
For example: User A belong to department X, only view data of department X.
If we upgrade to D365FO, what is the similar function to separate data by department? (ex: financial dimensions)
Thanks in advance
In D365FO we have XDS available. Implementing/Configuring XDS requires some technical skills and I would recommend using this only if absolutely required as it might impact your system performance and as it might take a while to set this feature up.
Thank you for your answer.
The XDS framework is applied for part of data in D365FO or AX 2012, but in my scenario, all data will be filtered or secured by his department. If I apply XSD, the system performance will be impacted slowly. Do you have any suggestions for this case?
I am looking forward to your reply.
I have written some blogs around XDS for learning and providing some examples: dynamicspedia.com/.../
If the queries are created correctly, it has just a very small penalty on performance. It shouldn't be dramatically.
