Is there a way to increase the session timeout period on DemoVM?
That should resolve it in licensed env but in DemoVM Session Management feature is missing I guess:
I don't think it's about licenses, it's about your demo system version. You have older version than PU29, right? The article says that the feature is available from PU29 onwards.
The article also says:
"If you previously set a session idle timeout in the web.config (WebClientStatefulSessionTimeoutInSeconds key) through a support request, then that old value will still be honored. The change in default will only affect those who had not explicitly set a new session idle timeout in the web config."
That will give you a hint how to solve it in older versions.
Yes your are right. I'm on PU24.
Adding this tag:
<add key="WebClientStatefulSessionTimeOutInSeconds" value="3600" />
in this file, should do it?
But the file is write protected.
Well, you do have admin access to the demo VM, right? So nothing is write protected from you. You just need to open Notepad as administrator, then open the file and make the changes.
Ok. Changing the user security on the file, allows editing.
