My client doesn't hare a sharepoint site. Can I not use my company's sharepoint site in lieu of? (I need a Sharepoint storage setup to test the new business document feature.)When I put in my company's sharepoint site in my company's demo (completely different project), it works, so the url is valid. However when I put the same site into my client's UAT environment, clicking on Test SharePoint connection gives the error
"Value cannot be null. Parameter name: externalId"
Clicking on Open SharePoint works fine though.
Does anyone know what the error really means and how I can resolve this please?
The D365 and the SharePoint site must in the same office 365 tenant.
Your client must be a typical user on the tenant, not an external user.
You can go to the Microsoft 365 admin center, click Admin centers > SharePoint, and then click site collections to see your SharePoint site collections.
