is there any clear Microsoft documentation for the RPA integration\architecture for dynamics 365 for finance and operations ? as we have a client that need to have RPA with ERP.
Finance and Operations itself has no RPA. There is a task recorder which can play-back recordings. For automation, you can use Microsoft Power Automate. Here you can build automation and also it now contains a preview on UI Flows which is in fact the RPA from Microsoft for business solutions.
Thanks a lot Andre, do you have any documentation for Microsoft power automate with Dynamics 365 for finance and operations.
You can find below links useful
Andre has series of blog posts on it -
Don't forget the Power Automate website itself: flow.microsoft.com/.../
PS: Power Automate is the new product name for Microsoft Flow.
Thank you Andre, thank you Sukrat, one more question does power automate work with D365FF0 on premises environment
Power Automate is a cloud solution. It has about 300 connectors to other cloud services. It is not connecting with an on-premise database directly. Potentially, you then need to create a custom connector, but I don't have experience with that. I'm also not sure if it would be easy to do so.
Thanks a lot Andre, much appreciated.
