We have got a user who has stopped getting workflow approval notification, however, she can view assigned workflows from workitems list in the default dashboard screen.
Other users are getting emails as usual. I checked and compared her user setup with other users setup and they all looks same.
This users email is not getting into SysOutgoingEmailTable table from where standard email distributor batch job sends email. The last email for this particular user was processed a month back and since then there was no entry of her email in it.
Recently there was a platform 10.0.30 update done. but not sure if that could be the reason for the user specific issue.
I did clear usage data but no help. i also deleted the user and recreated the user form System administration -> Users.
Any idea what else I can check?
Do the work items of the workflow history contain the user?
Is the lasted version activated?
Retype the SMTP email and password in the sys admin module.
Then go to her user options and retype her email address.
This resolved our issue with this same problem.
We tried deleting and recreating user with the same details as earlier. It didn't fix the issue.
What really helped was the email id. While recreating the user again, we typed the email id in small letters and it worked. But I still wonder why it was working earlier when we had First letter in Capital like A***.B***@g***.com.
This made the workflow started making entries into Sysoutgoingemail table and email distributor batch could then send email as usual.
So i believe, it wasn't related to SMTP at all because SMTP comes in picture later when email distributor batch starts reading data from SysOutgoingEmail table.
I don't think the volunteers on the forum will know what was wrong in your environment with this user. I'm glad it is working again. I don't think it is related to the use of small or first capital letters.
Can you check user setting Email notification is enabled or not....?? Plz also check email ID id correct on user setting + also check organization is assigned correctly to user in user setting ..
Yes. All you mentioned were already in place. Thanks for your response.
