I'm extending the LogisticsLocation table and want the field to display when editing an address on the custTable form, but not on the vendTable form. How can I find out how to get the custTable form name when I'm in the logisticsPostalAddress form? (if custtable form, i want to show new field)
There is variable "callerTableId" on the LogisticsPostalAddress form and you can compare it with Id for CustTable table. If they equal the address is related to the customer.
what i'm looking for, is the custtable shows the logisticspostaladdressgrid form and then when you select edit in the logisticspostaladdressgrid form, it calls the logisticspostaladdress form. When i'm in this 3rd form, i want to be able to find if the first form was the custtable or the vendtable (the vendtable also follows the same sequence)
You don't necessarily check the original form. If you just want to hide\show certain field depends on whom data is related (customer\vendor) you can use "callerTableId" field on LogisticsPostalAddress form. Or do you have a different scenario?
