Data Entity "smmActivityParentLinkEntity" (Activity Parent links) gives the Activity Number and Project ID but does not give the activity name. We need this for some internal reports. Would be eternally grateful if anyone could let me know how I could get this info in DNF.
Please try using the entity "Project work breakdown structure - Draft". You can also open WBS and click open in Excel on the top right office icon to open this entity using Excel add-in.
Thanks for this. Unfortunately the entity : Project work breakdown structure - Draft Entity gives you the Task Name for any WBS TEMPLATES that exist. I am looking for the Task Name for actual WBS that are used for actual projects. The data entity that I mention above: "smmActivityParentLinkEntity" (Activity Parent links) gives you the activity number but it does not give you the name unfortunately.
Have you checked in the Activities table? I am not positive if they are in there but they might be since a WBS task creates an activity
