Most of the times whenever we assign a Dynamics 365 Guides licence to one of the employees in our AD, they return to us with "Oops, you don't have necessary permissions to open this app. Contact your Dynamics 365 administrator to get the necessary permissions." Even after they are assigned Environment Admin permission, they still can't login. Can I ask for some kind of checklist that could help us set up their accounts in a way, that wouldn't end up with this error?
You also have to assign them user types in the actual environment through admin.powerplatform.com. Choose the environment you want to grant them access to, find their user and then assign them the following roles.
Basic User or Common Data Service (whichever one is present)
Guides Author (If you want to grant them access to the Desktop application and access to authoring Guides in the HoloLens)
Guides Operator (If you want them to be able to use Guides HoloLens application)
Guides Restricted Author (Same as Author, but you want to restrict which Guides they can author in the Desktop and HoloLens)
Guides Restricted Operator (Same as operator, but you want to restrict which Guides they have access to in the HoloLens)

Hi MaciejKlimowicz, Andrew provided some good tips. Additionally, be sure you have assigned the licenses to the users. See bottom of docs at docs.microsoft.com/.../add-users
