I miss the field "msdyncrm_customerjourneyid" in the lead matching strategy.
Without this field there can be no assignment between a lead that was created in the customer journey and a lead that was created using a form in the customer journey. Without this rule, two leads are created within the same customer journey by the same user.
How can I add the "msdyncrm_customerjourneyid" field to the lead matching strategy?
As we found, msdyncrm_customerjourneyid is already existed, unfortunately it is a Look up field with N:1 relationship(while other available fields in matching strategy options are specific t o a lead record) and we can't modify it due to system setting limitation.
Here is my suggestion, you could take it as reference.
Find Advanced Settings at upper-right Settings icon, go to Settings > Data Management > Duplicate Detection Rules, then
1. Create a new rule and set both base record type and matching record type to Leads
2. Set a detection rule as below.
(Field: Source customer journey, criteria: Exact match)
3. Publish it.
Hope those could help.
thanks for your answer but unfortunately, that doesn't work for us. With the Duplicate Detection Rules the leads are not merged automatically.
We build the function ourselves, because the current implementation of the lead matching strategy does not work :-(
Now, we merge the leads with a plug-in. The plugin finds the duplicates using the fields "msdyncrm_customerjourneyid" and "emailaddress1".
