Just keen to know, How to handle Change Order(Request) on an Active Project.
If Project is running and customer wants to add some more requirement in current project as Change Order. How and where will be capture this information in PSA.
Do we have to create new Quote/Contract?
Thanks in Advance
Hi. I think this depends on the approach you want to take. You could associate a second project on a Project Contract or simply add a task to the WBS on your original project.
We want to send new quote to customer for Change Order, If Approved.
Do we have to create another contract and create new project and from new contract and link new project to older project. 77
Or there is any easier way to do.
eBECS has some IP around this so that could be worth a look. For OOTB, what comes to mind is:
- Create a new T&M order line on the existing contract. Mark this order line as "under review" or "waiting for approval" etc.
- Associate a new project with the created order line.
- Send a draft contract/quote/custom document that is based and made on Reporting Services reports to the customer. A word template could also do the job if there aren't complex calculations. RS reports are a bit of work but they give you lots of options.- Mark the order line as confirmed when customer approves it.
