Good Day All,
I'm currently been trying to get a project task to sync in with outlook calendar. I know this is not feature that comes standardly. Been trying to create a workflow to do this but im completely new to it and struggling a bit. Just wanted to know if any one is able to assist me to get this workflow going?
Thanks in advance.
Hi Bash21. Are you aware of the possibility to sync resource bookings with Exchange Online? Just in case this this would be helpful:
Hi Antti Pajunen, Thanks for responding firstly.
I am aware of this and have activated SSS but the project name is the only thing that appears on the calendar and not the role or task that needs to be completed. I have been reading around and came to the conclusion that this is not a standard feature. Creating a workflow for this would seem like the only solution. Unless someone knows how to add those information on calendar when booking a reasource.
The challenge is pulling a Bookable Resource from a Line Task. We would need to establish where the value for a Bookable Resource is actually stored on a Line Task. When we know that, we could possibly create a Flow that updates our Exchange calendar.
Agreed. I think at the moment the easiest work around would be to create our own workflow to enable this. While playing around with the custom flows I came up with something interesting but I know its still incomplete. Tried running a test but it fails by the update event V2 part. Trying to insert a condition to see if that would assist but not sure what to do from here since this all new to me. Its driving me insane lol.
