Is it possible to add to the Period list inside the invoice frequency - i.e. add to the standard list - biweekly/month/weekly etc as I would like to add quarterly to this.
Go to Invoice Frequency entity and edit field msdyn_period to add more values in option set.
Let know if you are not able to find it.
Even if we add quarterly invoice frequency in option set, it will not be used to generate invoice schedule and milestone quarterly. Will it be useful to generate invoice schedule quarterly if we add one more option set as quarterly?
Do we have a way to generate quarterly invoice schedule?
what is your business requirement? How often do you need to raise the invoice? Do you want to automate it or will user create it manually? Is the contract line fixed-fee or T&M?
did you get the answer to our query? We have similar requirement
It is possible to add more invoice frequency which we currently have with ( biweekly/month/weekly) but even if you add one more it will not generate invoice schedule according to the new option set which you are adding.
To do that you can create a custom button on sub grid and should hide a OOB button and on that button you can may be write an action which will call a plugin and you can create invoice schedule by creating records.
It is better to create your own new field may be an option set field which have all option set values of Invoice frequency which we need.
OOB system has js and plugins which trigger and generate schedule.
I have done this in my project and it works fine. Please mark it suggested answer if it answers your question and if you need more help let me know.
