We have a customer where they are using custom entity. we had a requirement to create time entry from custom entity. so we have created a time entry from custom entity and submit those time entry for approval but few of Project approval are created as Chargeable while few of them are created as Not Available or Non Chargeable. I am not sure how PSA calculate their type.if you can see below example, you will find the difference for the same resource who submit the time entry for the same project but still there are difference in the billable type.
What do you mean by creating Time Entries from a custom entity? My initial thought is that the ones that say Chargeable are Time Entries against a Project and a Project Contract. N/A could mean there is no backing Project Contract and Non Chargeable that the role is marked as non chargeable on Project Contract.
Thanks for your reply Antii. I have few time entries where it is chargeable but still don't have the project contract associated. so I am not sure how PSA manage it.
Time entry are Billable and Non-Billable depending on Role and also on the contract type. If the Contract is:
1. T&M--> Role is Billable --> Project approval will be Billable
2. T&M--> Role is Non-Billable --> Project approval will be Non-Billable
3. Fixed Bid --> Any Role --> Project approval will be Not Available
i receommend you check the type of contract you have based on which you will get the approvals.
