I always have problems understanding some PSA aspects.
I would like to know how would target utilization affect the resource allocation method ?
what would it mean if the target utilization is 75% or 100%? and what is the effect of this percentage if the allocation method is full capacity, by hours, or by percentage?
Hey hey. So each Bookable Resource has work hours that you set for them. For example: 8 h day / 40 h week from Mon to Fri. If they submit Time Entries for 40 h a week, their utilization is 100 %. You can use the Resource Utilization view to see utilization but remember that utilization looks back i.e is historical.
Utilization calculations take several different factors into consideration. Scott LeFante has done extensive testing around this.
To my knowledge allocation method does nothing for utilization.
Take a look at 2 blogs I posted regarding Utilization . They should help you.
I hope this helps you.

Your blog posts were the first thing that appeared when I was searching for my issue :).
However, resource utilization view is still not populated with any data. All I see is red boxes.
I don't know what I am doing wrong!!
