Is there a way to stop timesheet entries against a task?
By default in V3.X the task against the time sheet has not been mandatory.
My appologies, I couldn't understand waht you mean.
I asked my question in regards to know if there's a way to stop time entries againt a task in WBS.
Let's say if we would like to hide a particular task from wbs in tasks list so that people can't able to select that when they put time entries from the calendar view.
I tested by deactivating the task but it still shows. Even 0 remaining hours at the task level doesn't hide the task from the calendar view.
Simplest solution is to rename the task "Closed - Task X". You can also create a Yes/No option field called "Task Complete" on Project Tasks and then restrict Time Entries against tasks based on the value on the custom field.
Thanks for the answer. I think it's easy in v3. However, we are using v2 where time entries are done through calendar view and you know the issues in modifying that. :(
