is it possible to assign a new resource to a new task in wbs without generating the team again?
Thanks for the answer. Then how do I avoid this issue?
Whenever I add a new task and generate team again, it also adds a generic resource to existing assigned tasks. Not sure why.
Please refer to the attachment above. This task has already named resource assigned but still, it added a generic resource with a comma. The issue is that it affects our reporting as it adds a new line of 2 hours in the backend for the same leaf task so the sum of the assigned hours become 4 instead of 2.
My initial thought is that the original resource is not 100% assigned to the task's duration. It's been a year since I used V2 but I recall that if bookings equal a task's duration, additional generic resources will not be created.
Thanks for your input. I will double check that.
