Currently i'm trying to set up a project in PSA. I've created resources with the Project Manager role. This role already existed in the demo environment.
In my pricelist i set the sales price for a Project Manager €100 per hour and i didn't set any cost price. When i open the 'Estimates' tab in my project i see the following:
Where does these prices come from? How can i configure these?
Your project needs to be linked to a contract line or a quote line. On your contract/quote you will find the sales price list used. Cost comes from a cost price list for your organizational unit linked to the contract.
I hope it helps.
You can read more about it on MS Docs at docs.microsoft.com/.../begin-quoting-pricing-billing.
It can get a little bit complicated with multiple organizational units, several roles etc. It may take a little while to set it up.
It comes from the ProjectPriceList which indirectly comes form the contract.
You can create these priceslists and tag with the Org. unit from where these rates are picked up.
Thanks Matthew, stil not understand where the cost prices come from, because i didn't link any cost price list to my organizational unit, but after linking a self made cost price list with different cost prices to my organizational unit, it changed. Thank you!
