On PSA app we have the new UCI interface that displays all the tabs on a form in horizontal way, which is a nice enhancement to the way data is presented, but i have noticed a very basic logical issue. If you have a required field in another tab than the current tab then the form notification which says the field is required just pops up but it dose not tell you which tab the field is. This is not a big deal if the number of fields are just a handful but if there are too many then the end user will have no clue where to look for the field an he has to check in every tab until he sees the error on the field itself. This would definitely be a bad user experience.
Has anyone come across this situation? if yes, then how did you tackle it.
If you have driven well since Lead-->opportunity-->Quote--> conract with all the values properly filled in, you will never be harrased with the issue you are facing.
Can you provide me a flow of what you are doing and when do you get this issue. i have never got this issue anytime.
Thanks for your time to look at my question. I am not following any flow. I am simply creating a new opportunity where in i have a custom field which is a required field on a different tab. When i create the record and fill in all the information and i hit save i get the error saying one of the required field is not having a value. This is obvious and expected, but what i want and what seems logical is the notification should somehow tell me where the field is located. Please see the screenshot, hope that clarifies.
In the below screenshot, the field "Total Estimated FNR" is under sales info tab, but there is no way for the end user to know until they open the tab.
Microsoft is actually going to address this issue in the next major release of Dynamics. See here for details.
