Hi Nemath. Copy project should also copy any custom fields you have on the main form, however it does not copy any values you may have in custom fields. You can add custom fields through normal Model-driven app customization methods from make.powerapps.com. Remember to put all customizations to a solution and adhere to best practice ALM procedures.
Thanks for your response. I want to actually copy across values from these custom fields. Could you please suggest best ways to do it.
I would use an on-demand (whern a record is selected) Flow for this. The only downside to that is that on-demand Flows are still not solution aware. It would be a no-code approach and the most straightforward way, in my opinion. You can also do it with code. Here is one example (be sure to verify there are no deprecated elements in the example):
