I'm looking to migrate projects from Project Web App to Dynamics 365 PSA. When linking the projects within PSA, Resources are not being reflected within the Schedule Board, they are appearing within the Resource Requirements Entity. I want to avoid going through the process of assigning resources individually, as it will be very time consuming.
Can anyone suggest a better solution for me to migrate Projects into PSA?
When migrating project data, you need to make sure that you have required records imported: project, project tasks, project team members, resource assignments and resource bookings for correct resources. When you have resource bookings in place, these bookings should be reflected on Schedule Board for correct resources.
Resource Booking entity and its fields are described here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customer-engagement/web-api/bookableresourcebooking?view=dynamics-ce-odata-9.
I hope this helps.
Here is the full list of field mappings between Project Professional and PSA. I hope it may help.
