i have a made a personnal field called XXX in the order entitiy , i wanted to used it also in the quote entitiy but i dont find it in the list
have you got an idea please ?
Hello, how are you? Thanks for using D365 Community.
If you create a new attribute on entity A, this attribute is only available for the entity A.
To see this attribute, for example, on the main form on another entity, you could use the quick view form. If you have a lookup for example.
Is it possible to share a print screen and more details about what do you want to accomplish?

Hello , I wanted to make this fied : 'Product Name' on the QUOTE Entity , but i also wanted to see it in the ORDERS entity :
The highlighted field is the one i have made in the quote form entity and the one i want to also display in the Order entity form but i dont find it in the field list
Publish your changes and the field should appear in the list of available fields.
hello i published the changes ( i made the personnal field in the quote FORM entity, but it still doesnt appear in the order FORM entity :(
So, let me share what I think you can do here.
You have a custom attribute on quote and want to see the same attribute on order, right?
- Create the attribute on quote entity and add it on form
- Create the same attribute on order entity and add it on form
- On mappings between the two entities, add the new one
What will happen is, when the order record was created from the quote record, the value of the attribute will be copied to the attribute on order. Do not forget to publish all customizations. Mappings article https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customerengagement/on-premises/customize/map-entity-fields
Order created from quote
The other solution is to add the custom attribute on the quick view form on quote entity.
And on the order form, add a new quick view form for the quote lookup
The result will be
No need to create the mapping on this solution
I hope that this information could answer your doubt.
Please let me know if you have any question.
Hello thanks to you very much guys , its ok now
