I am trying to fetch records from oracle data base, for this i have written a custom CRT and retail server. Inside this CRT, I am executing a web API.
I am able to fetch and show data in the front end but it initialize the whole page first and after 5 secs it is showing the value.
Is there any way to wait initialization until the value get from retail server?
This is not for RTS, right? Which page you used?
Yes, This is not RTS. I have extended the RTS in the POS. I am using CustomerDetails Page. I am trying to show the "Available credit limit balance" for the customer.
How long it is need to call the RTS? By my understand, it need a few seconds to call RTS to get the customer available limit amount.
I believe, it is taking almost 4-5 secs. Basically we are calling a web API, which is filtering data from the Oracle Data base. After deployment in the UAT, it is not working as expected. It is taking more than 5 mins or some times it is not showing the data also.
Have you get the time out issue on the UAT ENV? Have you rebuild the index for these tables which RTS call will used? How long it need to run the SQL query at DB directly?
No, It is not showing the time out issue... When I go back and come again it is showing the correct value sometimes but not every time. By debugging in typescript, I found that it was getting response asynchronously. I have written a code if response.data.result is not equal 0 then set it's actual value else set as 0. Debugging is done in Dev server.
You need to implement 'isBusy' indicator, while data is loading - then it will be clear for user, that something is loaded.
Or are you trying to postpone POS from showing 'Customer details' page at all, while data is not loaded?
