Increasingly, sellers [DA1] are using Microsoft Teams to chat and collaborate. Dynamics 365 app [EM2] [DA3] [DA4] for Microsoft Teams enables field sellers to easily access and update Dynamics records with the Microsoft Teams mobile app they are already use. The integration between Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Teams includes intelligent bot feature to allow a user to quickly search for and update customer records on-the-go.
For example, let's say you just left a meeting with your customer "Fabrikam" to discuss a new sales opportunity. Using the Microsoft Teams mobile app[BE5] , you can initiate a chat with Dynamics 365 app:
You can search any records by chatting to the app or initiate the chat with simple greeting like "Good Morning". The Dynamics 365 app will return with a message that includes the last record you opened in Dynamics 365whether it was on desktop, mobile or web.
You can continue to speak to ask Dynamics 365 app to show "Fabrikam" or simply tap the suggested button.
The Dynamics 365 app will return the account summary information with a quick action available to show contacts or opportunities related to the account. Tap "Show opportunities" to get a list of opportunities.
Tap the opportunity name to view the opportunity information
The opportunity card shows summary information about the opportunity as well as quick actions to update or to create a post. To update the opportunity status with a meeting summary, tap "Create a post" and talk to the app to summarize the meeting.
Tap "OK" to save the post to Dynamics 365[EM1] [WL2] activity time on the opportunity record.
You can also tap "Open in Dynamics" to view the full record information in Dynamics directly from Microsoft Teams chat.
In this blog post, I shared a use case of using Dynamics 365 app for Microsoft Teams to quickly lookup and update your customer records while on the go. Although you can perform all the command above using voice, most of our users use the combination of tapping a suggested quick action with talking with voice to enter longer notes.
