So, I created a BPF which I needed to delete as the underlying entity had to be removed. Now that I try to recreate the BPF, Dynamics tells me that I can't as the name is already in place. The process doesn't exist anymore nor does the entity which the process creates. Wondering whether the entity db table is still in place and isn't removed by the process being removed. Anyone else come across this error before?
A business process flow with the specified name already exists. If you contact support, please provide the technical details.
An interesting addition to this. If you hit the delete button inside the BPF by mistake - instead of deleting the component (this in Chrome) you get a message of Leave / Stay. Even if you hit Stay the system thinks the process has been deleted - even though it is open on screen. Its no longer available from the list of processes. Again the same problem - can't create another one as the name is in use.
Sounds like a bug. Deleting a BPF is common scenario. I would open a CRM support incident for this.
